N.D. Jen Newell's Radiant Skin Checklist July 15 2015

We love Naturopathic Doctor Jen Newell's Radiant Skin Checklist. She recommends the following simple steps to help improve your skin:

1. Slumber Number - aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night to repair and restore your skin.

2. Breakup Makeup - cleanse off your makeup before your head hits the pillow.

3. Face Food - eat a clean diet loaded with nutrients that promote a clear glowing complexion.

4. Hydrate to Radiate - sip on pure water, herbal teas (spearmint is one of my favourites) and green tea to plump the skin.

5. Product Purge - toss out your chemical-laden skincare products and switch to natural and nourishing products.

6. Emphasize Exercise - get moving daily to reduce stress hormones and boost microcirculation to the skin.

7. Ignite Your Light - create joy in your life and show your happy glow. Your state of mind reflects in the health of your skin; emotional turmoil and stress can wreck havoc on your skin.
