Earth Day Tips For Everyday From The PA Team! April 21 2017

We're really looking forward to celebrating Earth Day on April 22nd, but we also know it’s important to consider how our everyday habits affect the earth. We've asked our own PA Team share some of their favourite suggestions for taking care of the earth, everyday!

“Use a washcloth to remove your Moisturizing Cleanser + Make Up Remover instead of a disposable cotton pad.”
- Julie

"Take your reusable coffee mug with you everywhere."
-Chelsea

"Swap out your disposable razors for a stainless steel one."
- Dixie

“Keep your empty Province Apothecary bottles to fill for travelling and to keep in your purse.”

- Anna

"Use reusable bags when grocery shopping!"
- Natalie

“Save your weekly veggie scraps to use in homemade veg stock. “
- Cassandra

“Use charcoal to purify your tap water and keep a glass jar of it in the fridge. You can use smaller charcoal pieces for your reusable water bottles so that you always have fresh water, in any place where there is a tap. No need for plastic water bottles, ever!”
- Nastasia

"Make a natural cleaning spray with vinegar, distilled water, and a few drops of essential oils to spring clean your home without harsh chemicals."
- Hilary

"I suggest swapping out your incandescent lightbulbs for LED lightbulbs for energy saving since it uses about half the energy!"
- Kristina

"Respect the objects in your life, allot them the value that they deserve. Allow yourself to become aware of the time, energy, and resources which have been invested into the final object in your possession. This mindfullness and connection to your clothing, furniture, technology, or food, is a way to counter the tendencies of our consumer culture, which leads to conserving resources and reducing the amount of waste we produce. "
- Jess
